Vacation Ideas.

My wife and I have a 13 1/2 month old child. My wife is also pregnant with another that will be due in late October. Does anyone have any good ideas for a good vacation spot for these situations. I would prefer a cheaper vacation since we are saving up for the newborn.

We have pondered Florida, Gulf Shores, or even visiting a relative in Columbus, GA or St. Louis, Missouri. We just can't quite decide. We do know that we definitely want to travel somewhere before the new baby comes. Please let me know if you have any good ideas. Thanks,

When do you move your baby to a big girl bed?

I would like some advice from any parents out there on when is a good time to move your baby to a bed? I have a 13 1/2 month old baby with another baby due in October. I just wanted some info if anybody else has had to go through this in the past.

2 in a Row

Wow, I never would of thunk it. This team is 2-0. We are on our way to be undefeated. If you would of told me before the season that we would have started 2-0, I would of laughed in your face. Oh well, I guess I will start laughing, but for another reason. We are undefeated.

We do have a tough test this week. We play Magnolia Electric. They looked like they had some studs. I think if we play some defense we will be ok.

Check out my man Aaron Dees' link to the right to get a better story of the game. I will keep you posted on how the season continues.

Things I have learned in my xx number of years

The remote is mine and so is the T.V.

It's ok for me to drink as much as I want as long as I take the garbage out.

Wearing nothing but boxer shorts around the house is acceptable attire. Heck, you can do it too if you want. I'll be ok with that. I promise.

If I get drunk and decide to cook, you should probably be drunk before you eat any of it.

There is no need to call the fire department if I start a small kitchen fire. I can put them out on my own. I have lots of experience.

I am only watching Oprah with you because I am paying penance for something I shouldn't have done.

Even thinking about renting a movie like Brokeback Mountain is grounds for divorce.

If another girl tries to pick you up so we can have a 3-some, I will be OK with that. Actually, I will expect you to accept the invitation.

Don't cut your hair. I like to fantasize about tying you up with it.

If you go to the kitchen you should bring me another beer, even if I just got one.

It is OK for me to pee in the back yard.

Just because you own a cat does not mean that it will ever be my responsibility to clean the litter box.

I never look at your friends boobs/butt. Really. I promise.

Never ask me how many girls I have been with in the past. You will either not like the answer or you will not believe me. Besides, I lost count 20 years ago.

I don't care how many guys you have been with in the past. Don't tell me because I won't believe you.

It's OK if I like my car/truck.

Of course I listen to you. You are only able to remember more of what I said because I rarely get a chance to speak.

If you want me to remember to do something, write it down.

Yes I will pick up "your things" at the store. But you have to be very specific. Just because I have walked by them before or have seen them in the house doesn't mean I know anything about what you need.

I work overtime because the job requires it. Not because I would rather be around a bunch of sweaty guys instead of you.

Just because I don't want to talk for 4 hours on the phone doesn't mean I don't love you.

I snore.

Your jaw pops.

We both talk in our sleep.

I have enough shoes.

Only I am allowed to get rid of my clothes.

We don't need that. I am pretty sure we have ten of those at home already.

Game # 1 In The Books

Tuesday we had our first game of the season. We played the late game and boy did we finish late. The team showed up fired up and ready to break in the new bat. The team got a new bat for this season, and boy was it nice. The bat is a 2007 WORTH Mayhem M7 100+MPH bat. One of the best WORTH makes.

We played Carr Family Dentistry. I don't think any of them worked there though. Most of them were missing a few of their teeth. Maybe this is one dentist you might want to stay away from.

Both teams came out slow. It was the first game, so everyone was a little rusty. We did get one run in the first inning thanks to a triple by JJ and a sac fly by yours truly. Also, our defense was outstanding to say the least. We had a no hitter going into the third inning. That is very good for softball.

We jumped out to a 5-0 lead, only to have the other team come back and tie us in the sixth inning. It seemed to fluster us a little. Our bats just went dead in the seventh inning. We didn't get a run. So, CFD came up in the bottom of the seventh with the leadoff man getting a double. We kept our composure. We got our first out, but the runner moved to third. The next batter walked. The next batter hit it to Derek at third. He held the runner and threw the hitter out at first. We walked the next guy to load the bases. As you can tell it was getting intense at this moment. The next batter came up and you wouldn't believe it unless you saw it. HE STRUCK OUT!!!! All he had to do was put the ball in play and he might of had a chance to win the game, but no, He struck out.

We then had new life. We came up the top of the eighth with 8 runs to blow it wide open. They countered with two runs in the bottom half to make the final score 14-8. What a game. We start the season with a win. Hopefully we can keep this momentum into the next game against Sherwin Williams Pro Force.

Good News in Kali's Family

Julie and I went to have a 20 week ultrasound yesterday to find out what sex the growing embryo would be. IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That will make daughter number two.

First we go from having no females in the family to having what will be number two. My brother has two boys. My cousin has two boys. Julie's brother has one boy. Now, we are going to have our second girl. Everyone is so excited including me of course. I can't wait to see her beautiful face.

I also can't wait to have Julie back to normal. Pregnancy can really put a strain on a woman. Haha, just kidding baby.

Aubrey is going to be so jealous of the new baby. She doesn't have a clue about what is about to happen to her world. I think she is going to be a great big sister though. She is already the best child anyone could of asked for. There is no way the new baby can be as good as Aubrey. Lord, I hope she is. Me and Julie are completely warn out. All I can do is pray that one day we will be able to rest again.

Stay tuned for the Name. It might be after we have the baby. We might keep this one a secret. Peace.

Softball Practice

Let's see. Where should I start? Considering we only had seven people show up for practice, it went pretty well. I was anxious to see how the new guys would do. We have a total of 7 new additions to this years team. The ones that showed up looked pretty good. I think we already have the infield set up. It was good for the ones that showed up to practice to get some of the rust out. I have already heard Will down the hall complaining about being sore. I don't think we practiced that hard, but he is an attorney and doesn't leave his office much except to maybe go to the bathroom.

There are still two other new guys to check out before the season starts. If they are even a little bit decent, we should have a good chance at winning some games. It looks like we might be able to put some runs on the board. That is where we had some problems last season.

Projected line-up and batting order.
1.Matt SS
2.JJ 2B
3.Aaron LC
4.Steve 1B
5.Elmer RCF
6.Will LF
7.Derek 3B
8. Clint C
9.Kevin RF
10.Bill P

SOFTBALL TIME

That's right ladies and gentlemen. It is that time of year again. Not only summer, but softball time. This summer we are playing with our work in the Brandon Recreation Softball League. We hope to do a little better this year than last. Last year we finished with a three win season. Not too shabby considering the lack of practice and the constant bickering of all the team players.

This summer, we are going to just have fun. As my wife always says, "It's just a game, have fun with it." I think I am going to take her advice. I can say that now, but I am sure that once I get on the field, my competitive spirit will take over.

This years team consists of 5 attorneys, 1 summer clerk, 1 paralegal, 1 billing administrator, 1 office manager, 2 runners, 1 computer guy, a runner's dad, and an office manager's son. Now that is the making of a great team. We have our first practice today after work, so I will keep everyone updated with the progress of the team. Until then, I'm Out!!!

Daddy Again?

That is right. My wife and I are expecting again. I know it hasn't been that long since we had our first child, but you know, I am getting old.

I always wanted to have my first born before I was 30 years old. Well, not only did that happen, but now I will have my second while I am still 30. We still haven't found out if it is a boy or girl, but stay tuned for more details.

P.S. I hope to start blogging a lot more due to the exciting times going on in my ever so quickly growing of my family.
